What should you expect when playing paintball?

Paintball is a messy game and you should expect to get dirty. We suggest wearing old clothing in case of stains and bringing a change of clothes for the drive home. This will prevent you from getting paint all over the interior of your car.

Unless you are using low impact paintballs for your game, it is likely to hurt on impact. The best way to minimize damage and bruising is to wear long sleeves and legs on your pants.

You should always wear appropriate, closed-toe footwear. We suggest wearing sneakers as these are easy to move around in and have a lot of grip on the sole.

We recommend wearing a hat to protect your hair from being soiled by the paint. If you opt for a baseball cap, this can have the added bonus of protecting your eyes from the sun. If you are not wearing a hat, you should have long hair tied back.

You should always wear appropriate protective clothing. This includes goggles, masks, helmets, and vests. These are available for rent or purchase at all good paintball venues.

Some arenas will allow you to bring your own paintball guns or pellets. Check with the individual venue you are visiting as to their rules and regulations.

It is absolutely essential that you follow the safety rules and precautions stated by the paintballing venue. These are written to keep you and other players safe and it is vital that you follow them.

How long will 100 paintballs last?

There is no real answer to this question. It all depends on how reserved you are with your bullets. They can be gone in as little as 10 minutes, or you can make them last for a few hours. A good rule of thumb is to calculate for around 200 paintballs for each game zone.

Most paintball locations will require that you purchase paintballs on site. There are a few exceptions to this, but most are FPO (field paint only) venues. If you are caught with off-site paintballs you are likely to be asked to leave the field and potentially banned from the site.

This is partially due to overhead costs of the paintballing site as the owners will need some way to make more of an income. Additionally, this requirement ensures a consistency between games and sites. This works to protect the consumer and the company from unwanted injuries.

There is always a risk that someone could take the game too far and insert foreign objects into their paintballs. This is a major reason why most paintball venues will not allow you to bring your own paintballs, as there is no guarantee of safety.
